Our mission at Crescent Elementary is to promote a positive school environment that encourages the intellectual, emotional, social and physical growth of each child.

The students at Crescent Elementary participated in a tree-planting morning on Thursday, October 28, 2009. Along with the help of the Crescent PTO, students planted 9 trees on the school property. Six flowering trees were planted in the front to help beautify school grounds while three trees were planted near the nature trail to add shade and attract birds to the area. This project was funded in part by the Trees for Kids and Trees for Teens Grant Program funded by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Forestry Bureau, MidAmerican energy, Black Hills Energy, Alliant Energy, Iowa Bankers Association, Trees Forever, Iowa Tree Farm Committee, and the Iowa Woodland Owners Association.

April 15, 2010 at 2:00pm – 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Grade Spring Program

April 26, 2010 – Originally Professional Development Day, due to the snow days, students will now have school on this day.
