Welcome to Kirn Middle School
Gerald W. Kirn Middle School, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is a public middle school in the Council Bluffs Community School District. Kirn is an academic institution that offers a variety of educational and recreational opportunities for students in grades six through eight. Courses include computer applications, Spanish, vocal music, band, orchestra and fine arts classes. Kirn offers a range of extra-curricular activities, and athletics. Kirn students proceed to Abraham Lincoln High School.

***Tuesday August 12, 2014 & Wednesday August 13, 2014 - Grade 6 Transition Camp – 9:00am-12:00pm – Choose One of the dates above. Optional Parent Coffee with an Administrator from 9:00am-9:30am in the Library.
***Wednesday August 20, Back to School 101, 1:00 PM-6:00 PM (come and get your picture taken for the yearbook and complete paperwork)
***Thursday August 21, Back to School 101, 5:00 PM-8:00 PM (come and get your picture taken for the yeabook and complete paperwork)
*** Tuesday August 26, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Open House (come and get your schedule and meet your teachers)
***Thursday August 28, First Day of School
Food Deliveries for students:
The office will no longer accept food deliveries for students or drop offs from parents. It has become a significant distraction to the educational environment.
