PACT : Personal Academic Career Transition  -

    PACT along with CBCSD has evolved to meet changing student and community needs making the career part of this acronym obsolete.  PACT was started in 1993 as a countywide project supported by several community agencies.  In 1998 PACT received the First In Education award for the the state of Iowa from the United States Department of Education.  Now PACT is funded entirely by Council Bluffs Public Schools and seeks to help at-risk students succeed in school by offering opportunities to work on behavior, social, transitional and academic skills with the emphasis on behavior skills.  The ultimate goal of the PACT program is to successfully transition students back to their home schools.
